According to the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT), Maui County's visitor industry demonstrated promising growth in March 2025. Total arrivals across the islands of Maui, Moloka‘i, and Lāna‘i reached 235,370—an 11.3 percent increase compared to March 2024. Visitor spending also rose by 11.3 percent to $536.0 million, reflecting a 20.9 percent increase compared to March 2019. The average daily census stood at 59,089 visitors, marking a 7.2 percent rise from March 2024.
March 2025 marked the highest visitor count for Maui County since July 2024, representing an 86.6 percent recovery from pre-pandemic 2019 levels. Cruise visitor numbers also continued to rise, signaling renewed interest in the region as a travel destination.
