In response, Red Lightning is mobilizing to assist with cleanup and recovery efforts, helping residents clear debris and begin rebuilding.

If you are a resident of Lahaina and need help rebuilding or if you would like to offer your time and skills, please fill out the appropriate forms on their website: 

Red Lightning: Volunteer Labor Rebuild Assistance Request Form‍

If you are a homeowner whose home or property was affected by the Lahaina Fires in August 2023, you may qualify for free volunteer labor assistance provided by Red Lightning. The applicant must be the homeowner of the damaged or destroyed property.

All volunteer labor is provided at no cost to the homeowner. However, all materials required for the work and disposal fees are the responsibility of the homeowner.

This assistance is provided on a first come, first serve basis and is dependent on volunteer availability and alignment with scope limitations. The information collected through this application may be shared with our collaborating partners and field teams to help coordinate services effectively.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that they will be able to provide assistance. They will do their best to help as many households as possible based on volunteer availability and project scope.

Red Lightning's goal is to assist homeowners in preparing and maintaining their properties as they move forward in the recovery process. They work closely with each homeowner to ensure work remains within the safe and legal scope of unlicensed volunteer labor.

Services Offered:

• Lot clearing and brush removal
• Debris removal (non-hazardous/non-toxic materials only)
• Basic fence installation or repair
• Yard work or clearing
• Moving materials or assisting with physical tasks related to the rebuild
• Other related non-licensed services

Please note: They do not remove hazardous or toxic waste.
