In this time of crisis, the Henry Kapono Foundation remains steadfast in its dedication to our fellow musical brothers and sisters as we offer "We Are Friends Maui," an emergency basic essential relief initiative, offering $500 Foodland gift cards to professional entertainment families who the Maui fires have directly impacted.

The HKF will be awarding $500 grocery cards until funds dedicated to the WAFM program are depleted.

  • Once you meet the criteria as established in the application, then you may reapply once you are able to meet those requirements.
  • Any application found to have inaccurate information may render the refusal of this and future applications.
  • It is required that all applicants have at least 2 years of professional experience in the music entertainment industry in Maui to qualify

Lahaina and Kula residents who have been impacted by the August fires are invited to talk story with Mayor Richard Bissen. There are several dates to choose from. Each talk story session will welcome up to 30 residents to give folks a chance to share mana‘o and ask questions.
